A Simple Whatever

“You asked me how to get out of the finite dimensions when I feel like it. I certainly don’t use logic when I do it. Logic’s the first thing you have to get rid of.” ~ J. D. Salinger

“When our eyes are graced with wonder, the world reveals its wonders to us. There are people who see only dullness in the world and that is because their eyes have already been dulled. So much depends on how we look at things. The quality of our looking determines what we come to see.” ~ John O’Donohue

“The mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.” ~ Richard Bach

Perhaps I could not get any groggier. Without falling back to sleep, that is. This too – as they say – shall pass. I’ll admit to falling under the spell of weariness from being out in public nearly every day. Yesterday was a sleep day. I was in and out all day long. There will be a nap this afternoon as well. I have had to remind myself that more than adequate rest is quite alright these days. Clean clothes is also a good idea, so I can justify leaving the house once again. At the moment it is second cup of coffee, lap cat, birds at the feeder, golden morning light. Before yesterday I worked four days straight – 3 out of 4 were exhausting. That fact seems to need repeating to get my tired mind from getting all self-effacing and stuff. A simple whatever should suffice for now.

All is well. Goof gloriously.
